Let me help you pick the right breeder, breed, or puppy for you for FREE! Choosing the right puppy or even the breed for your family can be very intimidating. However, with a little help, you can have a new awesome family member with few surprises.
Why do I offer this for free? When choosing a puppy without thinking about all aspects of owning a puppy can lead to future problems that may have been overlooked, which can lead to surrendering your dog, I want to avoid this as much as possible.
If you are looking into adopting from a Breeder, here are some tips for finding a reputable breeder:
- Contract
- Price isn't too low or high
- Health Testing (very least OFA tested)/ Health Guarantee for at least two years
- Will take back a puppy anytime for whatever reason
- Have some sort of puppy raising program
- Titling of their lines
- Breeder explains both PROS and CONS of the breed
- Help match a puppy's temperament to your family lifestyle - The breeder does not overbreed their dogs nor have too many litters a year.
- Will never breed for people giving dog's as gifts (holidays, birthdays, anniversaries)
- Better the dog's breed (mental and physical health, temperament)
- Make sure the family or new owner is the right fit for the puppy or breed.
If you are a first-time dog owner and is interested in adopting from a shelter/rescue/breeder, I highly recommend fostering a couple of dogs/puppies first. This way, you can experience a multitude of dog personalities and see what might suit your family dynamic the best.
